As cricket fever is at the moment gripping the country, with cricket World Cup 2011 happening, IPL team are all set to sell their tickets for IPL 4. IPL 4 which begins from April 8.
All the IPL team have started the sale, and Chennai Super Kings is not that behind their step to sell off. Kochi team and Pune Warriors, which are two new entrants, have partnered with KyaZoonga.com for the sale.
Kochi IPL Team co-owner Mukesh Patel said, "Kyazoonga will be our exclusive ticket partner and the sale should start from Monday onwards.”
Other teams, like Rajasthan Royals have tied with Bookmyshow.com for sale of tickets.
Rajasthan Royals Marketing Officer Raghu Iyer said, "Tickets will be up for sale in the next week. We will keep them extremely affordable for the fans.”
It is scheduled that each franchisee will play minimum of 7 matches. Thus, it greatly depends upon the way each IPL teams sell their match tickets. It also depends greatly upon the stadia capacity.
Expressing how tickets would be sold, Raghu Iyer said, "The capacity of the Sawai Mansingh stadium in Jaipur is around 30,000 seats and tickets would be priced starting from Rs. 200, Rs. 500, Rs. 1000 and going up to Rs. 10,000 and Rs. 15,000 for corporate and luxury bookings.”
Ticket sale will be significant, and Mindshare Managing Partner (Entertainment Sports Partnerships) Hiren Pandit said, "IPL matches will surely see interest from fans as a lot of people did not get to watch the World Cup live.”
